Make room
for the work.
A traditional commission process: concept, deposit, schedule, delivery.
Start a commissionMost commissions run 2–6 weeks depending on scale. That is a typical range, not a guarantee; the written schedule follows the approved scope.
The commission path
A clear line from idea to delivery.
01
Concept meeting
We discuss the idea, scale, materials, setting, and budget. There is no commitment yet.
Conversation
02
Concept and sketch approval
You receive a drawing or render. Nothing is cut until you approve the direction.

03
Deposit and scheduling
A standard 50% deposit books the commission and locks your production slot. We agree a written schedule with milestone dates; the deposit and timing can be tailored to the project.

Production
Updates arrive at each milestone, so you always know where the piece stands.

Finishing, final payment and delivery
The remaining balance is due before release. Choose local delivery, or crating and shipping for a piece going farther afield.

The scope
What a commission includes.
A working concept
A conversation and visual direction that gives the piece a place to begin.
A written schedule
Milestones, production timing, and a clear handoff plan.
Material decisions
Advice on what will hold up in the intended setting and scale.
Finishing + delivery
The final surface, local delivery, or careful crating and shipping.
Questions, answered
Before we begin.
Can I request revisions?
Yes. The concept and sketch approval stage is where we refine the direction. We will define what is included in the scope before production starts.
What if I need to cancel my slot?
Tell us as soon as possible. We will talk through work completed, materials ordered, and whether the slot can be moved or released.
Who owns the work and can it be reproduced?
We will make the ownership and reproduction expectations part of the written agreement. Raise any exhibition, editioning, or fabrication-rights needs at the first meeting.
Can you meet an event or wedding deadline?
Often, if we know early enough. Share the fixed date in your first enquiry; we will tell you what is realistic before a slot is booked.
